Sources: Suspect for teacher murder linked to IS
The man suspected of murdering a teacher in a school in Arras in northern France last week acted on behalf of the terrorist group IS. This is reported by AFP, which refers to a source within the investigation, who in turn is said to have seen a video that the perpetrator recorded before the attack.
The 20-year-old man is said to have also referred to the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.
The suspect must have been put on a list of potential terrorist threats by the French intelligence service DGSI, according to AFP.
France raised the terror threat level in the country to the highest possible after the attack.
