US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are likely to visit Kiev and Moscow this weekend, a Russian source confirms according to the pro-regime news agency Tass.

- They hope to be able to get to Moscow and then to Kiev. It will be on September 5 and 6, the source says.

The mediation trip was announced by Ukraine on Thursday. President Volodymyr Zelenskyj said at the time that Witkoff and Kushner are expected to Kiev "in the coming days". However, the White House has not commented on the matter.

The two US envoys have previously visited Moscow several times to discuss how peace can be achieved. However, they have not visited Kiev, despite repeated Ukrainian invitations.
