US defense leaders have been urged not to refer to the Iran War as “Operation Epic Fury”, reports CBS News. This is evident from an email that the Air Force sent out in August.

According to the email, the instruction comes from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. He instead wants high-ranking military leaders to talk about “overseas operations” within the area of ​​responsibility of the US military command in the Middle East.

In May, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the operation had ended, but both the US and Iran have carried out attacks since then. The announcement has never come from any other White House leaders.
