Democratic strategist Jamal Simmons emphasizes that many things are unprecedented in this election campaign and mentions, among other things, the level of opinion, that a black woman has never run for office before, and that there have been two assassination attempts against Donald Trump.

The Harris effect that arose when she took over the baton from Joe Biden has subsided and according to strategist Anthony Coley, it is as if the party has now understood what Harris has been saying all along about her being the "underdog" of the election.

Trump to attack several women: "Dirty, disgusting"

Donald Trump's insults against Vice President Kamala Harris and a number of other women rained freely at a campaign meeting yesterday, AP writes. He said, among other things, that Kamala Harris is "sickly incompetent" and "ill-equipped to do the job of president of the United States."

On the TV show "The View," Harris recently said she couldn't think of anything she would have done differently than President Joe Biden. Trump commented on that at the election meeting:

- People realize that she is a stupid person. And we can't have another stupid president.

The ex-president also went on a hard attack against Whoopi Goldberg, who is also the host of "The View", whom he called demented.

- She was so filthy, dirty, disgusting. She was so dirty. Every word was shitty, dirty. What a loser she is.

Expert: Good reports for Harris - but maybe late

American voters consider the economy to be the most important issue in the fall election, and it is the only issue where a majority answers that the candidates' policies are an "extremely important factor" in how they vote, writes the Washington Post.

Inflation fell to 2.4 percent in September and Thursday's report is the last before the election. Reduced inflation and lower interest rates are an important part of Kamala Harris' message, but in the key state of Michigan, many voters are doubtful, writes the Financial Times.

Economist Edward Montgomery believes Harris may have a hard time attracting critical voters because many care more about prices in the store than falling inflation. The alternative of recession and deflation would perhaps be worse, he says.

Chris Jackson of the polling institute Ipsos tells the ABC, before Thursday's report, that it is hardly negative for Harris that inflation has reached more normal levels, but that it will take some time before voters perceive it in real life.

- It would have been better if it fell six months earlier.

Sources: Musk has taken over the vote hunt in key states

The Trump campaign's efforts to win over voters in the key state of Wisconsin are now largely led by a committee created by Elon Musk, sources told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Musk's organization, which, among other things, knocks on doors, has been active in the state since August but is said to have taken on an increasingly important role in the past week. The group that led the work earlier will increasingly focus on another key state: Arizona.

The Musk organization's work in Wisconsin specifically targets voters identified as Trump supporters, but who stayed home on Election Day in previous years.
