The Russian invasion The outside world's response
Kim Yo-Jong calls Ukraine and South Korea "lunatics"

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un's sister Kim Yo-Jong calls Ukraine and South Korea "lunatics" after the countries warned that North Korea is sending soldiers to fight on Russia's side in Ukraine. That is reported by Bloomberg and Politico.

"They are disobedient dogs raised by the United States," she said in a statement.

She further says that South Korea has provoked them by sending drones over North Korea.

"Provocations against a nuclear weapon state can lead to a terrible and unthinkable situation."

The tone on the Korean peninsula has turned up lately. North Korea recently blew up the road connecting the countries, and Seoul announced this week that it sees North Korea's military cooperation with Russia as a threat to its security.

Zelenskyy: Don't hide from the North Korean threat

Volodymyr Zelenskyy urges the world not to turn a blind eye to the evidence Ukraine has presented that North Korean soldiers are being prepared to fight on Russia's side, Reuters reports.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, North Korea is preparing two units, which could total as many as 12,000 soldiers, to fight side by side with Russia.

- This is a challenge, but we know how to respond to it. It is important that our allies do not hide from this, says the Ukrainian president.

NATO and the Pentagon have said they are concerned by the data, but have seen no evidence of North Korean soldiers on the ground in Ukraine. South Korea has reigned powerfully on the data.

Hezbollah's drone strike this weekend hit Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bedroom window, the Times of Israel reports.

Pictures show how the villa's bulletproof windows have been partially destroyed. It has been known since Saturday's attack that the Prime Minister's house was hit, but Israeli media have not been allowed to publish the pictures of the bedroom window until today.

No one was injured in the attack and neither Benjamin Netanyahu nor his wife Sara were home at the time.

Blinken: Sinwar's death creates an important bargaining chip

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is once again in place in the Middle East to try to get the parties to settle down at the negotiating table and reach a ceasefire agreement, AFP reports.

- I believe that Yahya Sinwar's death has created an important opportunity to bring home the hostages, end the war and secure Israel's security, he says after a meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Herzog agrees with Blinken that the death of the Hamas leader could change the dynamics of the conflict.

- There is a unique opportunity to make a special effort to use all necessary and possible tools to move forward and get the hostages home, he says.
