Analysis: The West's red line can help Russia
Western countries do not want Ukraine to attack Russian territory with their weapons, for fear of provoking nuclear power to drastic escalation, writes Sean Bell for Sky News, raising the question:
"Does this restriction actually help Russia by stopping a decisive blow from Ukraine?"
Russia does not seem to resort to nuclear weapons if their territorial integrity is not threatened - and in addition, an escalation within the country's borders would further expose their military vulnerability, writes Bell.
The increasing Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian soil are a way to bring the war home to the Russians, writes Rob Picheta for CNN.
Ukrainian representatives have explicitly said that the drone attacks against Moscow are a way to influence Russians who, ever since February 2022, have experienced the war as distant, he continues.
"But they are not risk-free for Kyiv, which is trying to gain the upper hand in the war while nurturing relations with Western countries that are alert to any hint of escalation."

Robot attack against several regions - airline hit
Russia has launched a new robotic attack against several Ukrainian regions, reports Sky News.
"At the moment, attacks are taking place in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr and Cherkasy. But the alarm applies to all of Ukraine," writes President Zelensky's spokeswoman Julija Mendel on X, formerly Twitter.
President Zelenskyy states that the attack was carried out with Kinzjal and Kalibr robots, according to AFP. Among other things, a building belonging to the aeronautical engineering company Motor Sitch in Khmelnytskyi was hit.
In Zaporizhzhya, a robot crashed on the outskirts of the regional capital. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, robots have also been fired from Belarusian soil.
There are no reports of deaths or injuries.
The data comes shortly after Russia vowed revenge for the Ukrainian attack on an oil tanker this morning.

Explosions near Krymbro - Russia: Tanker hit
Ukraine is said to have carried out an operation with sea drones against an oil tanker at the Krymbron during Saturday morning. This is stated by Russian authorities, reports the state news agency Tass, writes the BBC.
The oil tanker was hit, but the damage should be minor, they say.
- They are assessing whether it should be towed away or not. Currently it is at anchor. Some damage to the engine room has been found, not too serious, according to Russian authorities.
Traffic and road lighting were shut down on the bridge in the Russian-occupied area. Russia states that traffic has now resumed.

Brazil at peace meeting: Moscow must be involved
On Saturday, the first of a two-day peace meeting in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah ended without a joint statement, AFP reports.
Representatives of 40 countries – but not Russia – are there to discuss how peace can be achieved in Ukraine.
Foreign Affairs Adviser Celso Amorim, who led Brazil's delegation, emphasized that all parties must be involved in "proper negotiations":
- Although Ukraine is the biggest victim, we must involve Moscow in the process in some way if we want peace.
Ukraine advocates its ten-point peace plan, including that Russia's military must leave the country's territory. Kyiv has predicted in advance that the meeting "will not be easy" given the wide range of participants.
