Attacked ship may sink - crew has fled
The Houthi militia claimed responsibility for the attack on the cargo ship Rubymar in the Gulf of Aden late Sunday, they said in a statement, according to several news agencies. Now the British-owned ship risks sinking.
After an explosion on board, the crew abandoned ship. The crew has since been taken to safety in Djibouti.
The freighter was en route from Khor Fakkan in the United Arab Emirates to Varna in Bulgaria when it was attacked with missiles that hit the ship's engine room and bow.

Sources: Iran calls for restraint against the US
Iran is urging its allies to exercise restraint against US targets in the Middle East, according to several sources in the region the Washington Post spoke with.
According to the paper, Iran seeks to disrupt American and Israeli interests, but wants to avoid a direct confrontation and has therefore urged Hezbollah and other armed groups to hold back.
Sources in the US say the calls seem to have had an effect. Now almost two weeks have passed without attacks on American targets in Iraq and Syria, an unusual calm after the invasion of Gaza in October.
