Netanyahu calls for action against anti-Semitism in the West

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is calling on Western countries to step up the fight against anti-Semitism.

– I demand that Western governments do what is necessary to combat anti-Semitism and protect Jewish communities around the world, Netanyahu said in a video address on Tuesday.

– I demand action – now, he added.

The statement comes two days after the shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney, where 15 people were killed at a Hanukkah celebration on the famous beach. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has stated that the act appears to be motivated by “IS ideology.”
