Sources: Trump Considers “Final Attack” on Iran
The US military has informed Donald Trump about the possibilities for a “final attack” on Iran, reports The Independent.
According to Axios sources, Trump is considering, among other things, heavy attacks on Iran’s infrastructure and a ground operation to take control of the Strait of Hormuz.
– We have already won, but we want to win by a larger margin, says Donald Trump in an interview with Newsmax.
The US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz has failed to force Iran to agree to US demands, and today the White House must also secure congressional approval to continue the war under US law.
The war in Iran costs 87 million in emergency aid
The US costs for the war in Iran so far correspond to the entire UN agency OCHA’s humanitarian collection for 2026, reports AFP. According to OCHA, the $25 billion the Pentagon has so far spent on the conflict could provide life-saving assistance to more than 87 million people.
OCHA chief Tom Fletcher says the war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz have doubled fuel prices and raised food costs by 20 percent. The number of hungry people in the region is now twice as high as it was six months ago.
“It makes our job much harder. But it also pushes more people into hunger and starvation,” says Fletcher.
