The billionaire's first words: Looks like a perfect world

"Beautiful world". Those were tech billionaire Jared Isaacman's first words when he stepped out of the space capsule and was greeted by the sight of Earth.

- Back home we all have a lot to do, but from here the earth really looks like a perfect world, he said according to the BBC.

Sky News describes him as "admirably calm" and notes at the same time that the astronaut's words were probably rehearsed beforehand.

Isaacman is the one who finances and leads the "Polaris Dawn" expedition, and today became the first in history to do a fully commercial spacewalk.

Here, the first steps are taken on a historic space walk

Billionaire Jared Isaacman has opened the hatch of "Polaris Dawn's" Dragon capsule and taken his first steps into space. This means that he is the first in history to make a fully commercial spacewalk. In images from the broadcast, the planet Earth can be seen towering behind the billionaire. After Isaacman, it's time for Space X engineer Sarah Gillis to do the same spacewalk.

The astronauts were suspended on Tuesday with the mission to test new spacesuits and Starlink's laser communications in space. In addition to Gillis and Isaacman, who is financing and leading the expedition, the crew also includes a former fighter pilot and another Space X employee.

The expedition has already broken records after reaching an altitude of 1,400 kilometers. It is the furthest distance humans have been from Earth since the moon journeys over 50 years ago.
