Many dead after teenager opens fire near Bangkok
A number of students and teachers were killed, and even more were injured, when a student opened fire at a school in the northwestern outskirts of Bangkok, Thai media reports.
The perpetrator is said to have killed at least three teachers and three other students. At least 15 students were injured in the shooting. Two of them are said to be seriously injured.
The perpetrator is said to have been in grade nine, and is reported to have taken his own life after the attack.
Police have also found a man and a woman – the perpetrator's grandparents – shot dead in the school shooter's home, reports Thai PBS. According to information, the suspect used a handgun that was in the home. The motive is unknown.
Grade nine in Thailand corresponds to the same grade in Sweden, i.e. the last year of primary school.
