More than 4,300 dead in Lebanon
More than 4,300 people have been killed in Lebanon since the country was drawn into the Iran war, according to the Health Ministry.
According to Lebanon's state news agency NNA, new Israeli attacks have taken place in southern Lebanon overnight Saturday, Al Jazeera reports.
In total, at least 4,335 people have been killed and 12,273 people injured since the first attacks in early March.
At the end of June, Israel and Lebanon signed a framework agreement to achieve long-term peace, disarm the Iran-backed Shiite militia Hezbollah and lay the foundation for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory. Lebanon has since reported recurring Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah is not part of the negotiations.
