New heat records in Slovakia and Austria

Another heat wave is gripping Central Europe – record high temperatures have been recorded in Slovakia and Austria.

The record-breaking temperature of 41.4 degrees was recorded in the village of Kamenica nad Hronom, on the southern border of Slovakia. The most recent record of 41.3 degrees was recorded in the same village on June 30 this year.

For the second day in a row, record-breaking temperatures have also been recorded in Austria. On Tuesday, 41 degrees were recorded in the capital Vienna, and on Wednesday 41.2 degrees in the eastern parts of the country.

Extreme heat warnings have been issued in Austria, Slovakia and Hungary.
