Trump furious over sensitive leak

When the news of the US missile shortage leaked out, Trump became furious.

He boiled over in a meeting and called and scolded a minister.

Now he is threatening those who leaked the information with prison.

The Iran war has been on hold in recent days. Trump said on Monday that he had withdrawn an order for "the largest attack since World War II" because negotiations are ongoing.

At the same time, several American media outlets are reporting, citing anonymous government sources, that the US is running out of missiles. On Wednesday, CNN wrote that the important THAAD air defense missile is down to the last 20 percent in stock. According to the Washington Post, the shortage is just as acute for long-range missiles. The newspaper states that this has contributed to the US pause in attacks on Iran.

First, Trump is reported to have berated Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in a meeting on Friday. According to the information, he “boiled over” and claimed to have been misled about the missile shortage. He also told Hegseth that he thought the problem would be solved.

Hegseth blamed Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg, who, according to NBC News, was the next man to be shaved. The TV channel reports that the president called Feinberg, demanded information on how the missile stockpile should be restored and threatened to fire him. The conversation is described as angry and was followed by an emergency meeting at the Pentagon.

After the Washington Post published its information on Thursday, the great denial machine went into action.

– This is 100 percent fake news. Literally never happened. And President Trump has full confidence in Secretary Hegseth, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement to the newspaper.

Trump responded to Truth Social by saying the US has “massive amounts” of ammunition in stockpiles, but at the same time wrote that those who leaked it should be found and given “long prison sentences.” In a separate post, he addressed the Washington Post directly:

“I truly believe their fake reporting is treason!”
