Poland and Ukraine in conflict: "Are ungrateful"

Poland has refused to open the border for Ukrainian grain to be transported.

In a statement, the head of the presidential office, Marcin Przydacz, says that "Ukraine has received really good support from Poland and that you should start appreciating it", writes the Polish Onet.

A statement that did not go down well with the Ukrainians.

On Tuesday, Ukraine decided to summon the Polish ambassador and hit back at the statement that they "are ungrateful".

"There is nothing worse than when your savior demands money to save you, even when you are bleeding," says Andriy Sybiga, head of Ukraine's presidential office.

Poland's Prime Minister is loudly protesting the recall of their ambassador:

"The summoning of the Polish ambassador - the representative of the country that was the only one left in Kiev on the day of Russia's invasion of Ukraine - to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, should never have taken place," he writes on X, formerly Twitter.
