Great Britain is to join the EU's giant loan to Ukraine, writes the BBC and other British media. Negotiations on the British role will be held when Prime Minister Keir Starmer meets EU leaders at a major summit in Armenia today.

Ahead of the broader summit within the EPC (European Political Community), Starmer met President Volodymyr Zelensky in Yerevan on Sunday.

"When Britain and the EU work together, everyone benefits," Starmer explained after the meeting. "That is why we are starting negotiations with the EU to ensure that Ukraine gets the equipment they need to defend their freedom, and to create opportunities for British industry to participate fully."

The EU recently agreed to start disbursing the loan, which amounts to 90 billion euros, almost a trillion kronor.
