Iran has presented 14 negotiating points, according to the state news agency Tasnim. Some of the most important points that have been handed over to the mediator Pakistan to be forwarded to the US:

Iran demands that the war be formally ended within 30 days – opposes the US proposal for a two-month extension of the ceasefire.

The blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is lifted – proposal that Iran be allowed to charge customs fees for ships.

A promise that there will be no new US attacks, and that US forces will leave the Middle East.

US sanctions against Iran are lifted.

The US will financially compensate Iran for the damage caused by the war.

Iran demands that all military attacks in the region cease, for example against Lebanon.

Iran proposes that talks on the country’s nuclear energy program – and indirectly on possible nuclear weapons – be postponed until the future.
