Hurricane Debby moves in over the USA - could be record rain

There is a nervous wait for the weather in Florida, where Hurricane Debby is expected to hit with full force on Monday. The hurricane threatens to bring record amounts of rain and cause massive flooding, before moving further into Georgia and South Carolina.

Sheryl Horne, who runs a campground with her family, says it's not the first time a hurricane has hit the area.

In Savannah, Georgia, a month's worth of rain is expected within four days.

- This will be a real storm. The word historic cannot be emphasized enough here, said Governor Van Johnson.

The Southport stabbing
The Minister: Many are concerned - without throwing bricks

Jail places are ready for the "rowdy rioters" who took part in the violent riots in the UK in recent days. This is what the country's Minister of the Interior, Yvette Cooper, tells the BBC.

This weekend, protesters have attacked mosques as well as hotels where asylum seekers stay, smashed windows, lit fires and clashed with police. A shameful act, according to Cooper. She adds that the peaceful protesters protesting after last week's stabbing in Southport, where three girls were killed, are something completely different from the perpetrators.

- Many people are worried and have opinions about crime, the healthcare system and immigration. But they don't pick up bricks and throw them at the police, they don't try to set fire to hotels and they don't loot shops, says Cooper.
