India's president condemns the killing of doctors
India's President Droupadi Murmu has spoken for the first time about the rape and murder of a 31-year-old female doctor in the city of Kolkata on August 9, reports the Times of India. In an interview with the news agency PTI, the president, who has no formal power, says that "it will be enough".
She also showed her support for the protests and emphasized that she wants justice to be done after the murder.
