Musk in dispute with Brazil – X may be banned in the country
Elon Musk's social media platform X is one step closer to being banned in Brazil, The Guardian reports.
This after X ignored a court order to appoint a legal representative in the country within 24 hours. X has made it clear that they will not comply with the court.
Musk ran afoul of Brazilian authorities in April, when HD judge Alexandre de Moraes ordered X to shut down several accounts accused of spreading misinformation. Musk has refused, calling it attempted censorship.
The country's president Lula da Silva has become angry with the billionaire.
- Just because he has a lot of money, he cannot be disrespectful [...] Who does he think he is? the president said in a radio interview on Friday.

Taliban ruleThe situation in Afghanistan
Convicted Afghans are deported from Germany to the Taliban
For the first time since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan in 2021, Germany has deported convicted Afghans to the country, several media reports. In a statement, the country's interior minister, Nancy Faeser, states that it is about 28 Afghan citizens who have been convicted of crimes.
"I want to thank the police and the federal states for the close cooperation," she writes.
During yesterday, Faeser talked about Germany resuming deportations to Syria and Afghanistan "very soon". The decision is part of the government's commitment to tighten the country's asylum policy, writes AFP.
German Deutsche Welle writes that Germany no longer has any diplomatic relations with Afghanistan and that negotiations with the Taliban regime are seen as problematic.
