Bangladesh revokes Sheikh Hasina's diplomatic passport
Bangladesh's transitional government has revoked former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's diplomatic passport, AFP reports.
"The former Prime Minister, her advisers, the former government and all members of the dissolved National Assembly were entitled to diplomatic passports by virtue of their offices," the Ministry of the Interior writes in a statement.
Hasina fled to India and went into exile in early August after a violent, student-led uprising. 450 people were killed, mostly by police, in the weeks before Hasina's resignation.

UN team in Bangladesh - offers investigative assistance
On Thursday, a special UN team arrived in Bangladesh, Reuters reports. They are to advise the country's transitional government ahead of possible investigations into human rights violations in connection with this summer's violent uprising, when hundreds of people were killed.
"It is important to emphasize that this visit is not an investigation, but the focus will be to discuss the process for investigating human rights violations," the UN writes in a statement.
