Ukraine approves the Swedish tracked vehicle - can be deployed in combat "very soon"
The government of Ukraine has approved the Swedish Pansarbandvagn 302 for use by the military. Kyiv Independent reports.
The announcement means that the 300 vehicles donated by Sweden can be used in combat "very soon", according to the newspaper.
In a brief statement, the Ukrainian military states that the Pansarbandvagn 302 can make its way in rough terrain and withstand direct hits from light artillery.
It was at the end of May that the Swedish government announced that it is donating the entire Swedish inventory of Pansarbandvagn 302 to Ukraine, as part of a support package worth SEK 13.3 billion. The package was the largest from Sweden to date.

Ukraine's allies do not want to send the men home
Volodymyr Zelenskyy has on several occasions asked allied countries to help bring home more Ukrainian men of military age - but to no avail, writes Bloomberg.
In countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, they have said that they will not send Ukrainians home as long as the war is going on - and another factor that comes into play is the addition to the workforce.
- Quite simply, many Czech companies depend on the skills and hard work of Ukrainian refugees. The construction industry would come to a complete halt without Ukrainians, says Tomas Prouza, head of a Czech interest organization for the retail and hotel industry.
