Expert: What is happening is something completely new for the country
The protests in Britain were started by anti-immigrant right-wing groups - but now British and Irish nationalists have also joined. It has never happened before, says terror researcher Hans Brun to TV4 Nyheterna.
- Typically speaking, British and Irish nationalists don't mix. But now these two sides have united in frustration and dissatisfaction with migration policy.
It is worrying that the protests seem to be largely organized in social media – it gives Russia and Iran the opportunity to worsen the situation at very low cost, adds Brun.

Starmer about the riots: "You will regret this"
Anyone behind the recent riots in Great Britain will be brought to justice, Prime Minister Keir Starmer said in a speech to the nation, according to Sky News.
- I guarantee that you will regret being part of this mess, either directly or by fueling it online.
Starmer condemns the "far-right thugs" who have attacked mosques and Muslim communities, adding that he "understands how terrifying it must be" to be targeted because of one's faith or skin color.

At least one injured riot policeman has been carried away by colleagues. Masked protesters have broken windows and thrown objects at police officers.
In Middlesbrough, a group of protesters broke through police cordons, causing businesses in the city to panic-lock their doors, writes Sky News. Several people have been arrested.
In Bristol, 16 people have been arrested, and in Bolton, the police have been given temporarily increased search powers.
The demonstrations have their origins in the stabbing of three children in Southport on Monday.
