At least 400 roads in North Carolina are said to be impassable on Saturday.

In total, at least 44 people are believed to have died in the southern United States as a result of the storm.

Three charged – threw soup at paintings again

Three activists have been charged with vandalism after throwing soup at two of artist Vincent van Gogh's sunflower paintings at the National Gallery in London yesterday. The BBC reports.

The three activists from the Just Stop Oil network threw yellow soup at the paintings shortly after a court announced the sentences of two of the network's members, who threw red soup at paintings from the same series in 2022.

The paintings must have been covered by protective glass and survived without damage. In the 2022 campaign, however, the picture frame will have received damages for the equivalent of more than SEK 100,000.
