Hope for double ceasefire in war-torn Gaza
In war-torn Gaza, many Palestinians express hope that a cease-fire agreement in Lebanon also means an end to fighting in the Gaza Strip, Reuters reports.
The news agency has, among other things, spoken to businessman Tamer al-Burai, who fled to Khan Yunis due to Israeli attacks. He says, among other things, that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah stated that the Shia militia's attacks will end when Israel withdraws from Gaza.
- This gives hope that peace can prevail in Lebanon and Gaza, he says.
At the same time, some express concern that an agreement that applies only to Lebanon means that Israel will increase attacks in Gaza.
