Negotiations
“Zelenskyj is trying to back out of the mineral agreement – then he will have big, big problems”
It seems that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj is trying to pull out of the mineral agreement with the United States, Donald Trump told reporters aboard the presidential plane Air Force One tonight.
– If he does, he will have big problems – big, big problems, Trump said according to Fox News.
Trump says he does not accept that Zelenskyj now wants to renegotiate the agreement. This weekend, Zelenskyj said that Ukraine cannot agree to the latest American draft.
Yesterday, Trump said that he is “very angry” with Vladimir Putin for delaying the peace negotiations, but on board the plane he said that Putin is unlikely to back out of his promise of a partial ceasefire.
– I have known him for a long time. We have always gotten along well.

Sources: Ukraine prepares presidential election
Ukraine is preparing to hold a presidential election this summer, sources tell The Economist.
According to the sources, President Volodymyr Zelenskyj called a meeting last week to begin to work out what measures need to be taken.
In that case, the election will be held after a potential ceasefire that the US hopes will occur in April. According to the sources, the incumbent president could run for re-election.
Presidential elections have not been held as usual in Ukraine during the war due to the military state of emergency.

Of the aid package, which is the nineteenth in a row, 9 billion will be spent on the purchase of defense equipment that will later be delivered to Ukraine. The second largest item of 5 billion will go to the Ukrainian defense industry and funds, which procure equipment for Ukraine.
