Another story on Thai royal wealth. The estimate of $43 billion for King Vajiralongkorn is well below the real amount, but at least it’s an improvement on the out-of-date figure figure of $30 billion that many media are still using.

With an estimated net worth of US$43 billion, Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn, officially known as King Rama X, is the richest royal in the world.
Meanwhile, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, of Brunei, comes in a distant second with a total wealth valued at US$28 billion.
The third richest royal is from the Middle East. The wealth of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud, from Saudi Arabia, is valued at around US$18 billion, followed by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (US$15 billion), King Mohammed VI, from Morocco (US$8.2 billion); and Prince Hans-Adam II, of Liechtenstein (US$7.2 billion).

When you think of royalty, you think of the British royal family – but in reality their wealth actually pales in comparison to some of the other royals around the world. Believe it or not, Queen Elizabeth II is worth US$520 million. Prince Charles is worth US$400 million.
Meanwhile, his sons Prince William and Prince Harry come next, and both are valued around US$40 million. Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge – is calculated at US$10 million.
