The owner of "Russia's Google" is leaving the country
The owner company of Yandex, often called the Russian equivalent of Google, has left Russia, several media reports. The company, which is based in the Netherlands, has sold the remainder of its Russian operations to a consortium for the equivalent of SEK 59 billion, well below market value.
- Yandex is more than a company, it is part of the entire Russian society, says Anton Gorelkin, deputy head of the Russian Parliament's information committee.
Yandex has said it is independent of the Russian leadership, but the BBC has been able to show that the search engine, among other things, hid search hits about the massacre in Butja in Ukraine.

The idea: It is important to act proactively against cyber risks
The uncertain world demands good preparedness, says Riksbank governor Erik Thedéen before the finance committee on Tuesday.
In a pre-written speech, he states that the resilience of the financial system is continuously improving - but not at the same rate as the threat picture.
- We must be proactive when it comes to managing cyber risks. A current example of how important it is to strengthen resilience is the recent cyber attack that affected several organizations and companies, says Thedéen.

Germany's move for more electricity: Build gas power plants
The German government wants to build new gas power plants with an output of 10 gigawatts, which corresponds to 15-20 new plants, reports Bloomberg.
Gas power plants are usually powered by natural gas, but the plans include that the power plants should be able to be powered by fossil-free hydrogen sometime between 2035 and 2040.
State energy company Uniper, which wants to participate in the expansion, describes the German decision as a "relief", writes Politico. The investment is expected to cost 15 billion euros over a 20-year period.
Before Germany can proceed with the plans, approval from the European Commission is needed.
