Analyst: Doge can hit listed companies hard
Analysts warn that Donald Trump's Doge could hit several publicly traded companies, which receive large revenues from government contracts. This is reported by CNBC.
"Cuts are possible and the uncertainty will remain for several months," writes TD Cowen analyst Roman Schweizer in a client letter.
The Streamlining Department's mission is to trim federal spending through regulatory elimination, administrative cuts and cost savings.
Several defense contractors, which are major recipients of federal funds, including Lockheed Martin, RTX and Northrop Grumman, are expected to be negatively affected.
Pharmaceutical giants such as Merck and Pfizer are also at risk of being affected, as they receive significant funding through the US Department of Health HHS.
China hopes that Musk will soften tough China policy

The Times: New leads in hunt for 'crypto queen' - may be in Cape Town
The hunt for the world's most wanted woman, the "crypto queen" Ruja Ignatova, continues. Rumors have spread that she is dead, but German investigators believe she is alive and point to new leads leading to a suburb of Cape Town, according to information provided by The Times.
Ignatova is suspected of defrauding millions of people, including 60,000 Swedes, of at least SEK 40 billion through the fake cryptocurrency Onecoin.
The FBI is offering a reward of SEK 50 million for information leading to her arrest.
The Swedish co-founder Sebastian Greenwood is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence in the United States.
