Sink the luxury yacht in Egypt

Luxury yacht has capsized off Egypt - tourists missing

A luxury yacht with 45 people on board has capsized in the Red Sea off Egypt. The boat sent out a distress signal early this morning then disappeared from radar, local media reports.

Security sources told Reuters that 16 people had been rescued from the waves.

According to Governor Amr Hanafi, some people have been taken by rescue flight to hospital. Other survivors receive treatment on site while waiting for rescue ships. A search mission from the Egyptian navy is working at the site to find more people in distress, according to the newspaper Masrawy.

31 people on board were tourists and other crew members. The boat had departed from Ghalib and was bound for Hurghada.
