Reply to the job email – or resign.
These are the new orders from efficiency chief Elon Musk to federal employees.
"Elon is doing a great job, but I would have liked to see him become even more aggressive," Donald Trump wrote just hours earlier.
The president's crazy gift to Musk
Donald Trump has previously appointed Tesla owner Elon Musk as efficiency chief for the Doge department.
The goal is for Musk, together with Doge, to streamline the state.
But on Saturday, the president took to Truth social to give Musk feedback.
"Elon is doing a great job, but I would have liked to see him become even more aggressive. Remember that we are going to save our country and, above all, that we are going to make the country better than before. MAGA!"
Musk quickly responded to Trump's statement.
"I'm going to try to be less retarded. This is a tough challenge," Musk wrote on X.
Just a few hours later, the efficiency chief presented measures.
"As agreed with the president, federal employees will soon receive an email asking them to respond to what they did at work last week," Musk writes.
He continues:
"Failure to respond will be interpreted as resignation."
