Survey: Bookings to the US plummet – Trump is believed to be the explanation

Swedes’ travel patterns have changed ahead of the winter season, according to a survey conducted by Sifo on behalf of the travel company Ticket. Looking at bookings already made for the period October–March, interest in Asia and countries such as Japan is increasing. The number of trips booked to the US is also 27 percent lower than last year.

The explanation is spelled Donald Trump, according to Ticket’s communications officer Tiyoneh Jah.

– The price determines the choice of trip, while politics affects interest, not least for the US, she says in a press release.
