41 people have been killed in a Russian robot attack on the city of Poltava.

This is stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The president writes on Telegram that the attack was carried out on Tuesday morning by two ballistic robots against an educational institution and a hospital nearby.

- A building was partially destroyed. People were under the rubble. Many could be saved. More than 180 people were injured. Unfortunately, many died. At this time, 41 people are known to have died. My condolences to all relatives and friends, writes Zelenskyy according to the BBC.

All available emergency services have been called to the area. Now he has ordered a quick investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack.

- I express my gratitude to everyone who helps people and saves lives on the spot, adds Zelensky.
