Trump's USA The cuts
Trump could cause a toxic disaster in Vietnam
The cutback in US aid has meant that the clean-up work on the "Agent Orange" poison in Vietnam came to an end in February. But after many protests, the White House backed down. However, it is unclear whether funding has resumed, several US media outlets report.
Dioxin-contaminated soil at the former US air base Bien Hoa base is now at risk of flowing further and poisoning food production in nearby areas, putting hundreds of thousands of people at risk of being poisoned.
The base is considered the country's most contaminated area and since 2020 the US has helped clean it up. Something that was intended as a ten-year project.

Trump asks the Supreme Court to withdraw orders on reinstatement
The Trump administration has asked the Supreme Court to stop an order to reinstate several thousand probationary federal employees, several news agencies report.
The Supreme Court has previously ruled that 16,000 people should be reinstated after the mass layoffs decided by the Trump administration. But according to the administration, the Supreme Court does not have the mandate to stop the decision.
The court is also being asked to rein in the judges who are slowing down Donald Trump from implementing his policies.

Zelenskyj on the brawl: I defended our dignity
What the Ukrainian people had hoped to see in the Oval Office was proof that the United States is still their ally, says the country's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj in an interview with Time Magazine where he comments on the brawl with Donald Trump and JD Vance.
In front of the cameras, everything went wrong and according to Zelenskyj, there was a feeling at the moment that the United States is not an ally.
– In that conversation, I defended the dignity of Ukraine, Zelenskyj tells the newspaper.
Volodymyr Zelensky says he had thought it all out for the meeting and had a golden gift for Donald Trump by his side: Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Oleksandr Usyk's championship belt.
But first Zelensky showed pictures of Ukrainian prisoners of war instead, and that's when the conversation started to go in the wrong direction, US officials told Time.
Zelensky still doesn't regret showing the pictures and says he wanted to appeal to Trump as a human being.
- He has family, loved ones, children. He must feel the things that all people feel. What I wanted to show were my values. But then the conversation took a different direction.

"Hope Trump understands that Putin is weaker"
If Donald Trump wants to, he can force concessions from Russian President Vladimir Putin because he seems to be the only one Putin is afraid of.
This is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told Time Magazine.
Zelensky still hopes that Trump will realize that Putin is weaker than he seems, that he cannot be trusted and that a Russian victory in the war is not only a disaster for Ukraine but a loss for the entire West, including the United States.
Trump and his team will not accept such a loss and they see their own “roles in history,” Zelensky told the magazine.
“That is why I do not believe in these apocalyptic scenarios. Quite frankly, I do not,” Zelensky told Time.
In talks with Trump and Vice President JD Vance in the coming weeks, Zelensky will continue to appeal to their principles as statesmen and people, and not their narrow political interests, the magazine writes.
