China and Brazil sign new agreements on 37 points
China and Brazil have signed cooperation agreements in 37 areas, including tech, trade, infrastructure, energy and mining, Brazilian President Lula's staff announced, according to Reuters.
The announcement came during Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to the Brazilian capital Brasilia.
The agreements are described as "synergies" between the two countries. Last month, Brazil announced that it would not formally join China's massive "One Belt, One Road" infrastructure and economic project, which analysts described as a blow to the countries' bilateral relationship.
Xi: China and Brazil to become "golden partners"
The words of praise have been showered during Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Brazil, reports Reuters.
The relationship between the countries is the "best in history", according to Xi, who adds that the country is ready to become a "golden partner" to Brazil.
Brazilian President Lula also praised the countries' cooperation, reports AFP.
- In a world plagued by armed conflicts and political turmoil, China and Brazil put peace, diplomacy and dialogue first, he says.
