Amazon invests 44 billion in the Chat GPT challenger

Amazon will invest an additional $4 billion, roughly SEK 44 billion, in Anthropic, which is described as Open⁠ AI's main rival, writes CNBC.

In total, the tech giant has invested $8 billion in the San Francisco-based company, but is said to still be a minority owner.

Anthropic has developed the Chat⁠ GPT challenger Claude.

EBM's strike: TV for half a million and 30 luxury watches

Six people have been arrested on suspicion of money laundering and tax crimes, writes EFN. In connection with the crackdown by the Ecocrime Authority, among other things, 30 luxury watches, cars and a television worth half a million kroner have been confiscated.

- It is satisfactory that we now have increased opportunities to take assets back to the state, says EBM's preliminary investigation leader Jonas Bergendahl to EFN.

Three of the suspects are in custody, but suspicions remain against all of them.
 
Microsoft CEO: Must act forcefully against cyberattacks

The next president of the United States, Donald Trump, must take the hard gloves against cyber attacks from foreign states, not least from Russia, China and Iran. According to the FT, Microsoft CEO Brad Smith believes that.

- We should not tolerate the level of attacks that we see today, he says.

State-led cyber attacks against US government officials and election campaigns have increased sharply in recent years, according to Smith. He adds that the Biden administration has made great progress in the area, but that more measures are needed to "deter and prevent" new attacks.
