Zelenskyj wants to see talks with Trump and Putin

Volodymyr Zelenskyj proposes a trilateral meeting with Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, AFP reports.

“If Putin is not comfortable with a bilateral meeting, or if everyone wants it to be a trilateral meeting, then I have nothing against it. I am ready for any format,” he said in a statement.

According to the Ukrainian president, Turkey, Switzerland or the Vatican are the most realistic places for negotiations.

Zelensky said he was also waiting for the “peace memorandum” with Russia’s demands for a ceasefire that Putin promised Trump. According to CNN’s sources, the White House has not received anything like that either.

Kremlin: Trump talks a lot – is poorly informed

The tone continues to harden between Donald Trump and the Kremlin, reports CNN.

Putin’s top adviser Yuri Ushakov tells the state television channel Rossiya-1 that Trump “talks a lot”, and that Russia is closely following all statements.

“But in many ways we have concluded that Trump is not sufficiently informed about what is really happening in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict,” he continues, trying to paint the Ukrainians as terrorists.

The statement comes after Trump's post on Truth Social on Tuesday, where he wrote that Putin is "playing with fire" and that many "really bad things" would have happened to Russia if it weren't for him.

Trump on sanctions: Doesn't want to sabotage negotiations

Donald Trump is avoiding imposing new sanctions on Russia because he doesn't want to "spoil" the peace negotiations. He tells reporters at the White House, according to Sky News.

The statement comes after the president has been making harsh statements against the Kremlin for several days and opening up for new sanctions - something eight out of ten senators in Congress are behind.

Trump also says that he "doesn't know" whether Putin wants peace or not, but that he expects to find out in the next few weeks.

- We will find out whether he is straightforward and honest with us or not, and if he is not, our response will be a little different, says the president.

Merz promises robots – dodges question about Taurus

Germany will help Ukraine develop and manufacture long-range weapons. This announcement was made by Chancellor Friedrich Merz during a joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelenskyj in Berlin, reports AFP.

– There will be no limitations on range, which will enable Ukraine to defend itself fully, even against military targets outside its own territory, says Merz.

Before the German election, Merz promised the Taurus cruise missile to Ukraine. However, the Chancellor does not want to give any details about which weapons Germany will deliver.
