47 people injured in the mad dash in Liverpool

In 250 meters, 47 people were injured in the center of Liverpool.
Now the police are mapping the perpetrator's mad dash through the large crowd.
It is still unclear why the driver hit the people celebrating Liverpool's victory in Premier League on Monday night.
At the press conference, Merseyside Police announced that there is no indication that the incident is linked to terrorism.
- What I can say is that we believe this is an isolated incident, and we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with it, says Merseyside Police's Deputy Commissioner Jenny Sims at the press conference.
The tragedy started at 6pm

According to The Telegraph, a black station wagon was driving slowly on Dale Street in Liverpool– a cross street to the parade street which was packed with pedestrians. Before the car could continue, a member of the public opened the driver's door. The driver then closed the door and continued down the street, passing Liverpool City Hall and approaching the parade street.
The vehicle then slowed down at a parked ambulance, but for some unknown reason it suddenly accelerated straight into the crowd.
Several people were thrown into the air and fell to the ground. Then a commotion broke out.
“Met by many injured”
Fire Chief Nick Searle said at a press conference that three fire engines were on the scene four minutes after the first alarm.
- The crew was met with many injured people and four people who were trapped under a vehicle. Our firefighters quickly lifted the vehicle and took out three adults and a child, who were handed over to our colleagues in the ambulance service, says Searle.
53-year-old man suspected
After mowing down scores of people, the car stopped. Twenty police officers swooped on the vehicle and then arrested the driver.- The car was stopped at the scene and a white 53-year-old man from the Liverpool area was arrested. We suspect he was the driver, says Deputy Police Chief Jenny Sims.
Two people, including a child, are considered to have serious injuries.
