Israeli ex-security chiefs appeal to Trump

Hundreds of Israeli security personnel, including dozens of retired chiefs, are appealing to Trump to help stop the war in Gaza.

Among the 600 signatories to the petition are former intelligence chiefs. They want US President Donald Trump to increase pressure on the Israeli government and Prime Minister  Benjamin Netanyahu.

"It is our professional assessment that Hamas no longer poses a threat to Israel," they write in the petition.
