Trump: Ukraine Must Be Allowed to Attack Russia
In a new post on Truth Social, Donald Trump defends Ukraine's right to attack targets on Russian territory.
"It is very difficult, if not impossible, to win a war without attacking the invading country. It is like a sports team that has a great defense but is not allowed to play offensive games," he writes.
The president also blames his predecessor Joe Biden for not letting Ukraine defend itself. Biden's administration long denied Ukraine the right to use American long-range missiles against targets in Russia, but changed its position in November 2024, towards the end of his term.

Mass production of Ukraine's new "Flamingo" missile
The new Ukrainian "Flamingo" missile, which can hit targets 3,000 kilometers away, will be mass-produced in early 2026, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
- The tests of the missile were successful. It is the most successful missile we have, he told the press on Thursday.
According to the Ukrainian website Dzerkalo Tyzhnia, it carries a warhead of 1,150 kg. The fact that Flamingo can reach 3,000 kilometers allows Ukraine to hit targets deep inside Russian territory, which could challenge its Russian counterpart, according to Valeriy Romanenko, an expert on Ukrainian aviation technology.
- Only combat use will show whether it is better or not, but the information we have so far is very promising, he told Radio NV.
