The Louvre Heist

Here are the jewels that were stolen - eight items missing

Eight "priceless" items are still missing after Sunday's heist at the Louvre in Paris. The thieves struck at the Apollo Gallery, where the French crown jewels are housed, among other things.

In their escape, the thieves dropped Empress Eugénie's jeweled crown. The crown was found on the ground outside the museum and is reported to be damaged.

Several media outlets have reviewed the items that were stolen. They include a tiara, an earring and a necklace that belonged to France's last queen, Maria Amalia.

In addition, a diadem, set with nearly 2,000 diamonds, that belonged to Empress Eugénie is missing. The thieves are also said to have taken a brooch, a necklace and two earrings that Napoleon gave to his wife, Empress Marie Louise.

Below are pictures of the crown found outside the museum, as well as some of the missing items.
