The highest bridge in the Middle East has been partially destroyed after an airstrike.

American and Israeli planes attacked a few hours after Donald Trump threatened to bomb Iran "back to the Stone Age".

"Much more is coming", Trump wrote after the attack.

The B1 bridge in Karaj in Iran, which was still under construction, was to become part of a major highway to connect the region with Tehran, the Iranian capital.

Now it has been bombed by the US and Israel.

This is reported by The Telegraph.

Eight people were killed and 95 injured in the attack on the 136-meter-high structure, according to Iranian state media.

After the attack, US President Donald Trump wrote about the attack on Truth Social.

“The largest bridge in Iran is collapsing, will never be used again – Much more is coming! It is time for Iran to reach a settlement before it is too late and there is nothing left of what can still be a successful country”

Trump’s threat

The Iranian regime stated that bombs also hit a century-old medical center in Tehran.

Images published by the Ministry of Health show a largely destroyed building, which was identified as the Pasteur Institute in Iran.

On Wednesday, Trump gave a speech in which he said that the war was almost over but also threatened to bomb Iran “extremely hard” if the country did not give in to his demands.

At the same time, Britain held virtual talks between 40 countries with the aim of being able to reopen the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday.

During the meeting, Secretary of State Yvette Cooper said that Iran has “hijacked an international shipping lane to hold the world economy hostage.”

France, Germany, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and India were among the countries participating.

Det rapporterar The Telegraph.
