A boy in the Netherlands has been convicted of calling for terrorist acts, with the aim of “replacing democracy with an ethnically white state”.

The right-wing extremist boy was only twelve years old when he initiated plans via a group on the Telegram app two years ago to, among other things, detonate a bomb in the Flemish regional parliament in Brussels, reports the television channel VRT.

There were also plans to attack a military air base in Arnhem in the Netherlands. The stated goal was to force a “race war”.

The boy has now been sentenced by a court in Leeuwarden to three months of conditional juvenile detention and must also undergo treatment at a national support center against radicalization.
