Trump's USA The President's Team

Trump's Attorney General Pam Bondi is fired

Donald Trump is firing Attorney General Pam Bondi, he writes on Truth Social. In the post, he praises her performance and writes:

"We love Pam, and she will be moving on to a much-needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a later date."

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Trump's former personal lawyer, has been named acting attorney general.

According to sources to several media outlets, Lee Zeldin, head of the Environmental Protection Agency, is being considered as his successor.

A number of sources with insight into the administration have long testified to Trump's frustration with Bondi's handling of the Epstein investigation and her failure to prosecute enough of his political enemies.

Sources: Trump Considering Firing His Attorney General

US President Donald Trump has talked about firing his Attorney General Pam Bondi, several sources told the New York Times and ABC News. According to the sources, Trump is unhappy with how Bondi is leading her department and how she has handled the tangle surrounding the Epstein documents.

The newspaper's information claims that Lee Zeldin, who now heads the Environmental Protection Agency EPA, could succeed Bondi if she is fired. However, no final decision has yet been made.

In a comment to the newspaper, Trump says that Bondi is a "wonderful person who is doing a great job."
