Denmark promises Ukraine support for ten years: "It will be expensive"  

 

Denmark presents a new support package to Ukraine and in the same vein provides security guarantees to the country for the next ten years.  

 

- What we are facing will be expensive. But freedom comes with a price, says Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, according to Politiken.  

 

She adds that words alone do not bring peace.  

 

- It's action on the battlefield that counts. The ten-year security guarantee is an initiative that first comes from the G7 countries. A total of 32 countries now stand behind the guarantee.  

 

Today's support package has a value of 1.7 billion Danish kroner, just over 2.5 billion Swedish kroner. The package includes, among other things, 15,000 artillery shells,

Assassins sent by Russia shot dead defected fighter pilot Maksim Kuzminov in Spain last week, according to Spanish intelligence reports published by El País newspaper.
