Fury in Israel after ceasefire: "Rewarding Hamas"
Israel reacts strongly to Britain's decision to stop parts of arms exports to the country. The Telegraph reports.
Late Monday night, an Israeli government official said the stop is a "reward to Hamas."
- This is happening at the same time that we are waging war on seven different fronts - a war that was started by a cruel terrorist organization, says Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
According to Britain's Defense Minister David Lammy, an investigation has concluded that there is a "clear risk" that British weapons are used to violate international law.

Britain freezes some arms to Israel
Britain will pause some of its arms deals with Israel, says Foreign Minister David Lammy according to Sky News.
According to Lammy, there is a "clear risk" that some of the weapons may be used in a way that violates international law.
In total, it is about stopping 30 out of 350 weapons licenses, according to the TV channel.
- This is not a comprehensive ban, it is not an arms embargo, says David Lammy.

The Israel-Hamas War|The Victims
She fought for 330 days to bring her son home: "My boy, you are finally free"
For nearly eleven months, Rachel Goldberg-Polin fought tirelessly to bring her son, 23-year-old Hersh, home from Hamas captivity. On Monday, she buried him in front of thousands of people in Jerusalem, WSJ writes.
Every morning since last December, Rachel Goldberg-Polin has taped a number to her shirt. The number is the number of days that have passed since the son was taken hostage at a music festival in Israel on October 7. On day 328, she stood at the border with Gaza. On day 330, the Israeli military announced that they had found six bodies in the Hamas tunnel system in Gaza. One of them was Hersh Goldberg-Polin.
At a church on a hill in Jerusalem, she said goodbye to her son, who was an American and Israeli citizen.
- Okay, my fine boys, now set off on your journey. I hope it will be as good as the trips you dreamed of, because finally, my boy, finally, finally, finally you are free, she said in front of the thousands of mourners.

The Israel-Hamas war|The negotiations
Netanyahu insists on control of Philadelphia corridor
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejects the idea that Israel should respond with concessions in the ceasefire negotiations after six hostages were killed in Gaza this weekend, writes AFP. Among other things, Israel will not give up the so-called Philadelphi Corridor, which is located along the border with Egypt, he repeats during a press conference.
Hamas has repeatedly demanded that Israel withdraw from the area. Right now, Israel is occupying the corridor with military to prevent Hamas from building up capabilities.
- We will not compromise there. If we withdraw, we send the message that this is how we respond to Hamas killing us, he says.
Among other things, the prime minister asked for forgiveness for the families of the hostages, but at the same time placed the blame entirely on Hamas.
