Putin: Ukraine's offensive will not stop Russia

The Ukrainian offensive in Kursk fails to slow the Russian advance in eastern Ukraine. This is what Russian President Vladimir Putin claims during a speech at an economic forum in Vladivostok on Thursday, according to international news agencies.

The Russian president states that the Ukrainian forces along the rest of the front have been weakened.

- Our armed forces have stabilized the situation and are gradually starting to push the enemy out of our territory, he says about the situation in Kursk.

Since Ukraine carried out its major offensive on Russian soil almost a month ago, the soldiers have succeeded in taking control of several Russian villages and communities. In late August, Ukraine stated that it controls 100 communities on Russian territory.
