The Russian Invasion|Ukraine's Response

Ukraine reshuffles the top - to give "new strength"

The Ukrainian government is being reshuffled to give the country's institutions "new strength" ahead of what will be an extremely important autumn. This is what President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says after the announcement that four ministers have submitted their resignations.

The institutions must be shaped in a way that makes Ukraine reach its goals, he says.

- In order to do that, we need to strengthen certain parts of the government, says Zelensky and flags that more changes will take place.

On Tuesday, among others, Interior Minister Oleksandr Kamyshin, responsible for domestic arms production, announced that he had submitted his resignation. According to sources to the Financial Times, the outgoing ministers may be given new roles in the government.
