Trump's envoy on Putin: Great leader - likes him

Vladimir Putin is a great leader. This is what US envoy Steve Witkoff, who recently visited the Kremlin, says in an interview with conservative media profile Tucker Carlson according to TT.

Witkoff says he liked Putin, and that the Russian president was straightforward with him.

- I don't see Putin as a bad person. It's a complicated situation, the war, and all the parts that led up to it.

According to Witkoff, Putin went to his local church, met with his priest and prayed for Donald Trump when he was shot during his campaign rally, "because they are friends and he prayed for his friend".

Sources: US wants a ceasefire by April 20

The White House wants a ceasefire in Ukraine by April 20, the date on which Easter falls this year for Protestants, Catholics and Orthodox, sources told Bloomberg.

At the same time, it is realized that the timetable could be broken because Russia and Ukraine are so far apart, according to the sources.

On Monday, the US, Russia and Ukraine will meet for talks in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh.

US envoy: Starmer's Ukraine plan is "posturing"

US special envoy Steve Witkoff dismisses British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's plans for peacekeeping forces in Ukraine as "posturing", reports the BBC.

According to Witkoff, it is naive for Starmer and other European leaders to think that "we all have to be like Winston Churchill".

The statements were made in a new interview with right-wing journalist Tucker Carlson. Witkoff also heaped praise on Vladimir Putin, calling him “super smart” and “a great leader.”

He also repeated the Kremlin’s propaganda about the “referendums” in the four partially occupied regions of Ukraine, claiming that a majority there want to live under Russia, writes the Kyiv Independent.
