Sweden supports Ukraine in the production of robots
Sweden will give Ukraine support in the manufacture of long-range robots and drones. This was announced by Defense Minister Pål Jonson (M) at a press conference at Karlberg Castle in connection with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umjerov's visit.
- It will be produced in Ukraine by the Ukrainian defense industry but financed by Sweden, says Pål Jonson.
But he does not want to specify how extensive it is.
- We will return in January with our 18th support package and then we will allocate resources to this, says Jonsson.
In the next two years, aid to Ukraine will amount to 25 billion, writes TT.

Russian reactions
Kremlin: "No doubt" - the US understood the warning
There is "no doubt" that the US understood the Russian warning that the new type of robot would be used in an attack on Ukraine. This is according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, according to AFP.
Yesterday, Peskov stated that the US was warned 30 minutes before the Russian attack, something the Kremlin repeated today. Peskov also says the new robot should be seen as a message to the West that Moscow will respond to "reckless" actions supporting Ukraine.

South Korea: Russia has provided air defenses to North Korea
Russia has provided materiel and anti-aircraft robots to North Korea. This is what Shin Won-Sik, the South Korean president's top adviser on national security issues, says in a TV interview according to the Yonhap news agency.
- We have information that Russia has provided materiel and anti-aircraft robots to strengthen Pyongyang's air defense system, which is a weak point for North Korea.
The information that Russia is strengthening North Korea's air defense system comes as an exchange for the thousands of North Korean soldiers sent to Russia to participate in the war in Ukraine.

The battles
Ukraine: The robot traveled faster than Mach 11
The medium-range ballistic missile that Russia fired at Dnipro in Ukraine spent 15 minutes in the air and reached a maximum speed beyond Mach 11, Reuters reports, citing Ukrainian intelligence.
“The robot was equipped with six warheads, each with six sub-warheads. Towards the end, the speed was over Mach 11,” the Ukrainian spy agency reports.
Mach is a measure of speed based on the speed of sound in a certain environment, usually in air. Mach 11 corresponds to approximately eleven times the speed of sound.

Analysis: "Even Putin doesn't know what to do next"
After a new type of ballistic robot was used in the war in Ukraine, the BBC's Steve Rosenberg asks what Putin will do next. But Rosenberg lacks an answer to that.
"Perhaps even Putin does not know the answer, which makes things even more serious," he writes and points out that one should not expect the "Putin car" - without reverse or brakes - to slow down.
Sky News Moscow correspondent Ivor Bennett thinks the whole thing "feels like a very significant moment in the war".
Bennett's analysis is based on three factors: partly the weapon itself, partly the threat - that Putin hinted that he might attack British or American facilities. The third is the setting – that on Thursday Putin chose to address the nation, which is not the norm.
"I believe that an extremely tense new phase of the war is to be expected," writes Bennett.
